What clients say about our work
Dave Fortna
Director, Graduate Enrollment Services Duquesne University
Rachel’s ability to organize and relate to her audience is extraordinary. She led a DiSC Catalyst training for four groups of our staff with widely varying roles in Enrollment Management. With the preparation she does prior, she was able to draw on experiences and environmental factors that allowed everyone to see the direct impact of the training.
Denise Faix
Director of Business and Administration, Enrollment Management, Duquesne University
Rachel led a fantastic DiSC Catalyst training for our large group, consisting of several departments within Enrollment Management. Her experience and proficiency were evident from planning to follow up. Rachel’s skillful interaction encouraged engagement from all participants, which led to a better learning outcome. I highly recommend Rachel and would engage her services in the future.

President/Owner Customer Experience Experts
Within my business, Customer Experience Experts, I have worked with Rachel Unterbrink for many years. I seriously don’t know what I would do without her, she is that good. In the 35 years of my professional career, I have not seen someone who excels in customer service, reliability, organizational skills, and writing talent like Rachel. She truly has a gift and is very enjoyable to work with too!
Dana Whatley-Smith
Assistant Director, Learning & Development Duquesne University
When I need someone to deliver effective communications training, Rachel is my go-to presenter. I appreciate the fact that she takes time to customize her training offerings to the specific needs of our various learners and their organizations. Her trainings are always engaging, and our students walk away with helpful tools that they can take back to the workplace and use right away. Rachel goes that extra mile to make sure that our learners have what they need, even after the training has ended. She has been a presenter in our Staff Professional Development Program since its inception in 2009. I highly recommend Rachel for anyone who is looking for a top-notch presenter, and I look forward to inviting her back for another round of effective communications each year.
Joyce A. Valent
Manager, Training & Development Duquesne University
I worked with Rachel several years in my position as Manager of Training and Development and Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University. Rachel created and presented a three-hour Critical Skills workshop for our staff professional development program annually. The workshop contained current research and relevant information for the attendees. Rachel has a wonderful rapport with people. Her ability to connect with participants, and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. She has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, reliable, and follows through to ensure a job gets done and exceeds expectations!
Joel Bauman
Senior Vice President, Enrollment Management Duquesne University
Unassuming and approachable, yet precise, direct, and effective with her feedback, Rachel Unterbrink is an excellent facilitator and practitioner of organizational leadership assessments and training. Rachel was engaged to deliver the Everything DiSC Workplace® assessment to a team of about 50 tasked with significant increased goal expectations. She prepared well, interviewed with management beforehand, and incorporated actual experiences / scenarios to help make the sessions more relevant. Following positive reviews from the staff, the leadership team was eager to further develop their new foundational skills, and Rachel was asked to further educate the team with Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™, and Everything DiSC® Management for the managers. Two additional sessions with the Thomas-Kilmann Instrument (TKI assessment) were also completed, and our team continues to role play and apply the conflict resolution techniques learned. I could not think of a better investment in talent development or other option that generates net positive results as these interventions.
Kim R. Bobrowsky, Esquire
Mediator & Arbitrator
With Rachel’s outstanding assistance, we taught thirty-two graduate students in two Theory and Practice of Conflict Resolution courses that were part of a Master of Arts in Leadership and Liberal Studies program. Rachel demonstrated strong knowledge of all course content, explained concepts and procedures clearly, and encouraged class participation. She was enthusiastic and engaging, and she independently led the classes in a learning exercise involving negotiation to reinforce the principles discussed in class. The students also praised Rachel for her accessibility outside of the classroom.
Robert Allison
Director of Human Resources
Rachel conducted a training for our organization, which focused on the DiSC Catalyst platform and performance management. Her approach was engaging and interactive, and she provided practical examples which made the session both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend Rachel's expertise to any organization looking for effective and engaging HR training.
The Labor Department reported a record 47.8 million employees voluntarily left their jobs last year as part of the Great Resignation. Many employees chose to pursue positions that allow for remote work or transitioned to different careers. The Society of Human Resource Management estimates the cost of losing an employee is 6-9 months’ salary. Other estimates place the cost as high as 2x’s an employee’s salary. Turnover affects team morale and burdens remaining employees who must carry the extra workload. Now is the time to invest in your staff to ensure they feel valued and promote retention. We can help!
