I worked with Rachel several years in my position as Manager of Training and Development and Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University. Rachel created and presented a three-hour Critical Skills workshop for our staff professional development program annually. The workshop contained current research and relevant information for the attendees. Rachel has a wonderful rapport with people. Her ability to connect with participants, and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. Unassuming and approachable, yet precise, direct, and effective with her feedback, Rachel Unterbrink is an excellent facilitator and practitioner of organizational leadership assessments and training. Rachel was engaged to deliver the Everything DiSC Workplace® assessment to a team of about 50 tasked with significant increased goal expectations. She prepared well, interviewed with management beforehand, and incorporated actual experiences / scenarios to help make the sessions more relevant. Following positive reviews from the staff, the leadership team was eager to further develop their new foundational skills, and Rachel was asked to further educate the team with Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™, and Everything DiSC® Management for the managers. Two additional sessions with the Thomas-Kilmann Instrument (TKI assessment) were also completed, and our team continues to role play and apply the conflict resolution techniques learned. I could not think of a better investment in talent development or other option that generates net positive results as these interventions.

With Rachel’s outstanding assistance, we taught thirty-two graduate students in two Theory and Practice of Conflict Resolution courses that were part of a Master of Arts in Leadership and Liberal Studies program. Rachel demonstrated strong knowledge of all course content, explained concepts and procedures clearly, and encouraged class participation. She was enthusiastic and engaging, and she independently led the classes in a learning exercise involving negotiation to reinforce the principles discussed in class. The students also praised Rachel for her accessibility outside of the classroom.

Rachel conducted a training for our organization, which focused on the DiSC Catalyst platform and performance management. Her approach was engaging and interactive, and she provided practical examples which made the session both informative and enjoyable.
